Tonight was Matthew's first pinewood derby in cub scouts. He was so excited for the last couple of weeks that he could hardly contain himself.
Before each heat, he was so nervous and was crossing his fingers a lot.
He raced in 5 heats and got 1st every time!! He was so thrilled!
The top four fastest cars competed in 4 heats for the finals and he got 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, and 4th. Overall, he got 3rd place out of about 17 cars. Pretty good for a rookie! It was a lot of fun and we were all proud of him.

Seeing fun boys like Matthew makes me excited for my boys to be that age.
