April 2015 (Easter Edition)

April was a busy one!  Here is our Easter:

We had our Brown Family Eggstravaganza at Marcus and Mandy's.  The Pillings were in town to join us. We had the usual Easter Egg hunt, dyeing eggs, and dinner.  This time the McShane's were on their way back from Arizona, and stopped in to join the egg hunt.

March 2015

I have no pictures of the entire month of March, but our calendar sure was full!

Corinne had her spring choir concert, a choir field trip, YW New Beginnings, Dance Co. auditions (she made it!), and early morning rehearsals for her Dance Concert.

Matthew started spring soccer practice, went to Clear Creek (overnight camp with the 5th grade boys), and had a field trip for school to Camp Floyd.  He also found out that his best friend Brooks was moving to St. George.  That made for a very difficult and emotional weekend. :(

Allison had her usual school stuff, as well as play dates and birthday parties.

Shane had his assessment done with the school district.  He has some delays in all areas, but primarily speech and fine motor skills.  He qualified to attend the early intervention preschool at Sego Lily Elementary.  He started in April after spring break.

The McShane's (all but Mike and Conor) came to visit for a weekend on their way down to Arizona. They stayed with us, and we had the whole family over for dinner on Saturday.  It was a nice visit.

February 2015

Highlights from February:

We took some photos of Corinne for her Dance Co. bulletin board at school.  (She wasn't super happy with them, so we never used them.)

Allison and Tyson went to the Daddy Daughter Dance at the elementary school.  Allison was SO excited for it and looked forward to it for weeks!  She had a ball!

Shane didn't want to miss out on the picture taking the night of the dance, so he insisted I get a picture of him too.  He loves that tricycle!

January 2015

I'm back from a LONG blogging break.  Instead of trying to fill in everything that has been missed, I'm going to start from the beginning of this year and just post highlights of each month (sorry 2014).

Highlights of January 2015:

We made sugar cookies during the last days of our Christmas break...

Played a little piano (our family Christmas present!)...

Shane got a "big boy bed" and was thrilled with it...

Played in the very little snow we got this winter (and made a baby snowman)...

Visited Matthew at his science fair...

And got a cute haircut!

Christmas 2013

We had a lot of sickness in our house the whole month of December. Thankfully, we were all better by Christmas Eve. Here are some things we did to celebrate the season:

The elementary school's Jingle Jam.  This was Allison's first Jingle Jam!  (I didn't get a picture of Matthew singing, only a video which I can't get to load on Blogger):

Fun in the snow:

The Sunday before Christmas:

On Christmas Eve, we had the family over for dinner, a cousins book exchange, and the traditional Nativity. Corinne and Sydney organized the kids, and then Sydney read from Luke chapter 2. Corinne directed the Nativity.

I usually take a picture of my children on Christmas Eve with their stockings. I forgot to do it until after Shane was in bed, so he isn't pictured.

Santa came!

(I designed a new gym bag for Corinne that says "I (heart) gymnastics".  Santa brought Allison Rapunzel and Flynn Rider barbies.)

(Shane got a ball track.  Great call by Santa because Shane played with this ALL DAY LONG.)

(Santa brought Matthew a nerf football, a BYU football jersey, and a Monster's University poster.)

(Corinne got some new leo shorts and dowel grips for gym in her new gym bag.)

We had a nice Christmas and continue to feel grateful for all of our blessings, especially our wonderful families, healthy children, Tyson's job, and of course our Savior, Jesus Christ. We are excited for what the new year will bring!
